Location services in the iPhone and iPad allow weather apps to give weather forecasts based on your current location. Of course, the source of weather information is important.

 

WeatherEye, by The Weather Network and MeteoMedia

WeatherEye is a free weather app from The Weather Network and MeteoMedia. It works well on the iPhone and iPod Touch, and looks even better on the iPad when you use the 2x button to fill the screen.

Interestingly, it will show you a map of where you are based on the built-in location services, but to get forecasts you have to add cities to a list. This way, you can get the weather forecast for several places, including cities you will be traveling to.

This is a cool iapp and is more personalized than the The Weather Network website.
